Baking

Two batches of chocolate chip biscuits (cookies) done today. They taste pretty good too… (My attempt to impress the teenagers tomorrow)
Today is a bit blurry. I did go to the vet sans cat. I think the vet was amused at this.
Pip went on a hunger strike the other week. Digestive issues are tricky with him and if he doesn’t want to eat what YOU want him to eat… well… I think he just would have fainted/died in preference to giving in.
He lost a fair bit of weight quite quickly so I went back onto a supermarket tinned food, of which he has been gobbling up to the tune of 4 tins a day!
Siamese Cats!!!!
Anyway, it was good to go over all the recent issues and work out a plan.

I think because I can…

I picked up this new sort of yarn that really wouldn’t be so good for clothes but makes lovely bags

Best toodle off to bed – a few little things to do tomorrow before collecting our girls!!
Cheers!

A happy traveller through life! Right now living in NW Tasmania with a gorgeous Nurse-Husband, a fool of a Siamese Cat and several chickens. We love our fairly simple lifestyle of growing a lot of what we eat and enjoying the stunning surrounds of our little patch.

  1. You should sell these bags with tour berets and gloves! I think they would sell well. Are they really lightweight? I’m thinking they would be perfect for reusable produce bags.

    1. Thanks Jennifer!! I am going to try to get a good lot made before trying them at a market or whatnot. They are really light, and there are pretty colours available… I might have to go shopping for more of that yarn. Darn. 😀
I think I’ll try to sell them direct though as when selling through a shop you lose 30% commission, which is fair enough but makes it harder to price items like that so people will still buy them but I also get a reasonable return back. Still… I am keen to give it a go! Have a lovely day!

    1. Thanks Julie! They are a really nice easy and quick project to work on and I am enjoying the change. Now working on getting a stash of them made… off to pick up some more yarn I think! haha… (Jeff will be thrilled!!)

  2. I know someone who went to the vet without their dog once so you’re not alone! :-))
And Pip is sounding… high maintenance! Is that a Siamese thing?

    1. lol – oh yes! Siamese! Odd little creatures! Their personalities are quite interesting. Unfortunately Pip has digestive issues that need to be managed – pills as well as diet otherwise he is horribly uncomfortable poor kitty!! I am trying some wallaby mince this week. Hoping I don’t regret that. (It was on advice from the vet to try a different protein rather than the usual beef/chicken) We shall see! Lucky he is affectionate and rather adorable so its worth going the extra mile! 🙂
