Square Eyes

I can’t make up my mind whether Pip is off to a poetry review or plotting to kill me.

Hello! I dipped into the archive Pip photos because I had no other new photos or news to share today! Plus these make me smile. Cats do ‘relaxed’ so well!

I spent a lot of hours today in front of the computer with the wedding photos.
You know… when they say wedding photos are forever I didn’t think that applied to the photographer!!Ā

I got most of the formal ones sorted out. I was hoping to get further today but I was slowed down by a fair bit of retouching work (and I am not so great at it so that eats up a lot of time)
Things like creating grass instead of a grubby unkempt ground, removing ugly signs and in a number of cases – swapping heads!! Seriously! There were some wedding party members who were terrible blinkers!!
With a party of 11 its hard to get everybody doing the right thing at the same time.
My biggest advice? Elope! Just kidding.

It was dark, cold and gloomy today so really it was the perfect day to work indoors on this.
I just feel like I am going a little stir crazy right now!

Time for me to follow Pip’s fabulous example and put myself to bed.

Hope your weekends are great!

Cheers!

A happy traveller through life! Right now living in NW Tasmania with a gorgeous Nurse-Husband, a fool of a Siamese Cat and several chickens. We love our fairly simple lifestyle of growing a lot of what we eat and enjoying the stunning surrounds of our little patch.

  1. I think that photo of Pip should be in your next calendar should you do another. Thank you for blogging, you always put a huge smile on my face everyday. If we were a wee bit younger, Tasmania would definitely be on our list to visit. Its seems so peaceful and a laid back sort of living, love it.
Can’t wait to see your wedding photos. Enjoy today and always pray that tomorrow always comes your way. Take good care.?

    1. Thank-you Shirley! That’s lovely feedback!
We think that our place is pretty laid back! From other parts of the world Australia is a long way to travel…Takes a while to recover when you are on the go for 24 hours or more! (My theory is you go for long enough that you have plenty of recovery time! šŸ™‚ )
Some blue skies out there (at the moment) I may get in that walk today!

  2. Great photos of Pip. I think he’s off to a poetry review. Like my Suzy must have a tough life, he knows he’s got it good.

  3. I feel your pain! I haven’t even taken the wedding photos yet but I believe there will be hours of editing ahead. I did a reccy yesterday with the groom, as his bride doesn’t arrive in the country until the day before the wedding! Somewhat nervous about this šŸ™‚

    1. lol! Hi Dom! I know you will do great – but yes. Prepare the happy couple for a decent wait before they get hold of their images. It IS a nerve wracking job… but once you actually start clicking, you will lose the nerves a bit. Good idea doing the reccy. Knowing what light you are shooting in and where is vital! Will message you in case you need more tips/moral support!!

  4. Love the pictures of Pip! I’m gonna guess he was not too happy about the hat and sweater lol! Cats sure do know how to relax don’t they.

    1. Thanks Pam! He totally puts up with all the outfits… but I usually just get a ‘look’ and he suffers in silence! šŸ™‚
